Peak District wildlife in Spring 2

Spring is a fabulous season in the Peak District as the earth seems to come alive again after the cold of winter. With leaves coming back to inhabit branches and flowers peeping through the warming soil, everything starts to look fresh and new again. This has a distinct affect on the farm life and wildlife in the Peaks, with lambs and calves surfacing with their look of complete innocence, and birds song erupts as the time comes round to find a mate. If you are lucky you will also see baby foxes, rabbits and deer as they surface from their homes and start to learn to fend for themselves, as the weather brightend and the sun shines.

It truly is a magical time and well worth planning a visit if you enjoy making the most of the outdoors as the thrill of seeing wildlife at close hand in their own habitat is a God given gift. Here at Peak District Online we hope that the videos we create, which offer a taste of the wildlife wonders of the Peak District National Park, will encourage you to explore and open your eyes to the many different types of animals in constant and close proximity.
